These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Lumina Grades mobile application (the "Application"). By installing or using the Application, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By downloading, installing, or using Lumina Grades, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.
Lumina Grades is a privacy-focused mobile companion application for students who use Infinite Campus through their school district. The Application allows you to view your grades, assignments, GPA, and related academic information, and provides optional analytical features including a what-if calculator and AI Tutor.
The Application is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Infinite Campus Inc. or any school district. All academic data is retrieved from your school's portal through your own authenticated session.
You may use Lumina Grades only if you have a valid Infinite Campus account issued by your school district. You are responsible for all activity that occurs through your use of the Application. You agree to:

The Application, including its design, source code, content, and trademarks, is the property of Lumina Grades and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Application for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Academic information shown in the Application remains the property of the issuing school district and the individual student. Lumina Grades does not claim ownership of any user data.
The AI Tutor feature uses a third-party artificial intelligence processing provider to generate responses based on the limited inputs described in our Privacy Policy. Outputs from the AI Tutor are provided for informational purposes only and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or recommendations that are not appropriate for your specific academic situation. You should verify any important guidance with your teacher, advisor, or school district. Lumina Grades makes no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI Tutor outputs.
The Application is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Application will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from harmful components.
Academic data shown in the Application is retrieved in real time from Infinite Campus and may be incomplete, delayed, or contain errors originating from the source system. You should not rely on the Application as a sole source of truth for any academic decision; consult your school district's official records.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumina Grades and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of grades, academic records, opportunities, or data, arising from or related to your use of the Application. Our total cumulative liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Application is limited to one hundred United States dollars (USD $100.00).
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Application at any time, with or without notice. We may also issue updates that change behavior, requirements, or supported devices. Continued use of the Application following any update constitutes your acceptance of the modified Application.
You may stop using the Application at any time by uninstalling it. We may, at our sole discretion, restrict or terminate your access to the Application or our backend services for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason. Sections of these Terms relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law will survive termination.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Application or other appropriate means before they take effect. Your continued use of Lumina Grades following any revision indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
